Why this app?

 

CSRS+FERS came out of a very personal quest to know how much income we will have in retirement. Yes, we could just get estimates from the personnel office. But those estimates do not show us how long our TSP will last or include other incomes, like Social Security, that affect our future. Also, we wanted the ability to experiment with different scenarios so we could adjust our plans. We needed some flexibility.

 

It so happens that Ralph and Shawn have backgrounds that make them a great team. Ralph's a National Park Ranger with a passion for retirement planning, attending retirement classes, researching and analyzing. Shawn's an IT analyst with decades of experience designing, building and maintaining apps and systems.
